THE BASICS OF GOING ELECTRIC
An electric vehicle, or EV for short, may be hard to spot in a parking lot. It looks like any other car.
The big difference is that an EV uses electricity as its primary fuel or to improve the efficiency of a gasoline engine. This definition encompasses a variety of cars — including hybrid electric vehicles, plug-in hybrids and battery electric vehicles — as well as electric motorcycles, scooters, and bicycles.
